LAUNCH OF THE GLOBAL ONLINE APPOINTMENT SYSTEM FOR PASSPORT APPLICATIONS
Effective 19 July 2021, the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco will shift to the Department of Foreign Affairs’ Global Online Appointment System (GOAS) for its passport appointments.
GOAS enables applicants to choose their preferred date and time for their passport appointments. Those who wish to apply for appointments are advised to access the GOAS at passport.gov.ph. Applicants must provide a valid Gmail or Yahoo e-mail address to get into the system. Appointment slots are made available every Monday morning.
In view of the high volume of applications, all passport appointment slots for July and August 2021 have been filled. The public may be able to secure passport appointment slots for September 2021 onwards by using the GOAS.
GOAS shall only be used for passport appointments in San Francisco. Passport appointment slots for the Consulate’s outreach missions shall continue to be accessed through its website: https://pcgsanfrancisco.org/consular-outreach-missions/.
Those unable to renew their passports may take the following alternatives:
- Those with expiring passports may apply for passport validity extension (visit the Passport Extension tab at https://pcgsanfrancisco.org/passport/ for details);
- Those with lost or expired passports and have urgent travel to the Philippines within the next 30 days, may apply for a Travel Document (see https://pcgsanfrancisco.org/travel-document/ for details).
Please see the infographic for a step-by-step procedure on accessing the GOAS.
