SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA – Consul General Neil Frank Ferrer welcomed the LALÒ ensemble led by Artistic Director Dr. Raoul Carlo “Miggi” F. Angangco, at their courtesy call and performance during the dual citizenship oath-taking at the Sentro Rizal on 24 June 2025.

LALÒ performed the Philippine national anthem during the dual citizenship oath-taking ceremony. They also serenaded the new dual citizens with a Bicolano lullaby, “Caturog na Nonoy” arranged by George Hernandez, and “Motherless Child”, a traditional spiritual song popular during the civil rights movement.

Mr. GP Eleria, the ensemble’s co-founder and managing director, conveyed that LALÒ considers themselves as a “choir for the dash in the Fil-Am”, being composed primarily of members with Filipino roots.

LALÒ is a Fil-American chorale group established in late 2023. They will have a concert  “From Sea to Shining Sea” on June 27, at the Church of the Epiphany in San Francisco and at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Los Angeles on 06 July 2025. END
