KNIGHTS OF RIZAL-SACRAMENTO CHAPTER JOINS PH CONSULATE IN 2024 RIZAL DAY COMMEMORATION

SAN FRANCISCO, USA – Acting Head of Post Rowena R. Pangilinan-Daquipil and Knights of Rizal Sacramento Chapter Commander Cesar C. Sotto led a wreath-laying ceremony at the Philippine Center’s Kalayaan Hall, in line with the commemoration of the 128th anniversary of Rizal’s martyrdom on 30 December 2024. The solemn ceremony was attended by Philippine Consulate General officials and Knights of Rizal- Sacramento Chapter officers.
This year’s commemoration bears the theme Rizal sa Bagong Pilipinas: Buhay at Aral, Aming Nilalandas (Rizal in the New Philippines: Life and Teachings, as our Guide). In her speech, Acting Head of Post Rowena R. Pangilinan-Daquipil described Rizal as “a visionary whose values of education, social progress, patriotism and whose ideals of intellectual growth, civic duty, and respect for others—are more relevant than ever.” The undersigned also encouraged Filipinos living abroad to draw inspiration in the life and works of Rizal to live with integrity, compassion, dedication to the common good and to advance our shared values”.
