Invitation: DISRUPTing Northern California: A Library on Every Block, A Book Donation Launch by the Foundation For Filipina Women’s Network (FWN)
Everyone is invited to the book donation launch by the Foundation For Filipina Women’s Network (FWN) titled “DISRUPTing Northern California: A Library on Every Block on Wednesday, 29 July 2026, from 4:30 to 7:30 pm at the Koret Auditorium, San Francisco Public Library, 100 Larkin Street, San Francisco.
During the event to be held in collaboration with the San Francisco Public Library (SFPL), FWN will donate the complete DISRUPT Filipina Leadership Book Series — 167 Filipina women authors across five volumes, representing 16 countries — to select libraries in the San Francisco Bay Area, each carrying a custom bookplate honoring the late SFPL Library Commissioner Helen Marte Bautista, who is a founding FWN member.
The DISRUPT book series is a groundbreaking publication that documents the leadership stories of 167 Filipina authors. Their stories talk about victories over poverty, domestic violence, incarceration, discrimination and harassment which shaped their world view, leader identity, life purpose, power and influence.
