Fil-Am Community Come Together for Final A’s Filipino Heritage Day in Oakland

FIL-AM COMMUNITY COME TOGETHER FOR FINAL A’S FILIPINO HERITAGE DAY IN OAKLAND

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, represented by Vice Consul Adrian Baccay, joined the Filipino American Community in the 12th annual Filipino Heritage Day of the Oakland Athletics, the last one in the Bay Area, at the Oakland Coliseum on 24 August 2024.

Filipino cultural groups Kariktan Dance Company and Villabrille-Largusa Kali System were among those that performed during the pre-game program, while Fil-Am rapper P-Lo threw the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game. Fil-Am food truck Señor Sisig offered free Sisig Tacos, and a free cocktail drink of its Ube Horchata with French cognac. The video messages of Fil-Am California Attorney General Rob Bonta, and Fil-Am South San Francisco, California Councilmembers Flor Nicolas and Mark Nagales were aired during the game.
