16 November 2023, SAN FRANCISCO – Consul General Neil Frank R. Ferrer welcomed startups, investors and judges to the second “Demo Day” of Dynamico Space organized by the Filipino American startup incubator and co-working space on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit 2023.

“Dynamico Space has been our partner in supporting the growth of Philippine startups,” Consul General Ferrer said.

He introduced Department of Science and Technology Undersecretary for Scientific and Technical Services Maridon Sahagun, who was part of the official delegation of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to the APEC Summit in San Francisco. 

Consul Vanessa Bago-Llona, Trade Commissioner in Silicon Valley Celynne Layug and other DTI officials as well as members of the business delegation from the Philippines also attended the Demo Day.

Mr. JR Calanoc, CEO of Dynamico Space, acknowledged its public-private partnership with the Consulate General and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in bridging Philippine startups and Silicon Valley.

He underscored Dynamico’s mission to foster connections between startups, mentors, venture capitalists, and angel investors to unlock potential funding opportunities.

The following startups participated in the Demo Day:

For a flat fee of $1, overseas Filipinos can instantly send remittances abroad with peer-to-peer processing. The Jiph mobile application makes it easier for users to top up their e-wallet or use their phones to purchase goods.
  • TANGGapp promotes global financial inclusion with its mobile application to send remittances, enable purchases, and donations in an easier, faster, and cheaper way, using optimal exchange rates.
  • Roni AI claims to be the first AI financial assistant for entrepreneurs and business leaders to analyze their business. It works to provide real-time 1-year budget, financial insights and financial analysis.
  • HomeKey works to connect real estate developers and lenders in an AI-assisted loan process.

The recent Demo Day is the culmination of Dynamico’s mentorship program with the second batch of Philippine startups which prepared their pitches for Silicon Valley investors for potential funding.
