Consul General Ferrer Meets the Press, Hosts Kapihan on Overseas Voting

As part of its outreach to the more than 47,000 registered overseas voters in the U.S. Pacific Northwest, Philippine Consul General Neil Ferrer hosted a kapihan (conversation over coffee) with the members of the Filipino Community media at the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco on 21 April 2022.

During the kapihan, Consul General Ferrer talked about the completion of the mailing of all postal voting packets on 18 April 2022, and the Consulate’s efforts to reach out to overseas voters with no/incomplete mailing addresses as well as those whose packets were mailed back to Post by the USPS (return-to-sender) due to change of address. The Philippine Consul General requested the media to assist in efforts to increase the voter turnout in the U.S. Pacific Northwest, and in the dissemination of overseas voting advisories from the Consulate.

Members of the Filipino Community media also observed the ongoing process of receiving, processing, and counting of duly accomplished ballots. (San Francisco PCG photos)
