Consul General Ferrer Attends San Francisco ‘s Official Celebration of AAPI Heritage Month

CONSUL GENERAL FERRER ATTENDS SAN FRANCISCO’S OFFICIAL CELEBRATION OF AAPI HERITAGE MONTH

Philippine Consul General Neil Ferrer joined other Asian consuls general in witnessing the signing of a proclamation by Mayor London Breed, declaring May as Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month in the City and County of San Francisco. The signing took place at the historic Herbst Theater on 3 May 2023, during the city’s 19th annual AAPI Heritage Month celebration.

The Filipino American Community was also represented during the celebration by Event Committee Co-chair Al Perez, singers Zeyoncé Brown and Christine Adiaz, and cultural group Parangal Dance Company.

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco encourages everyone to partake in this year’s AAPI Heritage Month celebrations, and take part in strengthening the fabric of the community towards a more inclusive society for Filipino Americans and AAPIs. (San Francisco PCG photos)
