ARTWORKS OF PERSONS ON THE AUTISM SPECTRUM PRESENTED TO CONSUL GENERAL FERRER

Consul General Neil Ferrer welcomed a delegation from Autism Hearts Foundation, led by Founder and President Dr. Erlinda Borromeo, during a call at Sentro Rizal, Philippine Center in San Francisco on 12 April 2024.

The delegation, composed of persons on the autism spectrum and their families, recently participated in a forum, art exhibit, and static fashion presentation co-organized by the Philippine Permanent Mission to the United Nations (UN) in commemoration of World Autism Awareness Day, at the UN Headquarters in New York City.

During the call, Consul General Ferrer received the artworks of Calvin Galang and Adrian Respino, two young artists on the autism spectrum, which were displayed during the exhibition at the UN Headquarters. In response, Consul General Ferrer expressed his appreciation to Dr. Borromeo and the AHF for being a staunch advocate of autism awareness and inclusion in the Philippines and within the Filipino American Community.
