PH Consulate General and IBP California Chapter Conduct Monthly Free Legal Aid Clinic

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines – California Chapter (IBP-California) successfully conducted the monthly Free Legal Aid Clinic on 04 September 2026 at the Sentro Rizal, Philippine Center. A total of seventeen (17) Filipino nationals/clients availed of free legal services from seven (7) IBP volunteer lawyers.

During the legal consultations, the clients received expert legal advice on a wide range of issues, including immigration (U.S. I-130 petitions, visa matters), property matters in the Philippines (sale, transfer, dispute, inheritance), and family law (divorce).

On the sidelines of the free legal consultation, Consul General Arnel Talisayon, together with Deputy Consul General Maria Paz G. Cortes, discussed new initiatives with the IBP California Chapter to improve and broaden the free legal services.
The free legal aid clinic is a regular activity at the Consulate, held every first Friday of each month or the succeeding Friday in case of holidays. END
