Philippine Consulate Explores Opportunities to Promote Philippine Beverage Brands In U.S. Market

SAN FRANCISCO, California — The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, led by Consul General Arnel G. Talisayon, met with Mr. Tony Fleming, Western Division Sales Manager of GK Skaggs, Inc., on 01 September 2026 to explore opportunities to expand the presence of Philippine beverage brands in the U.S. market.
The discussion covered GK Skaggs’ experience in importing and developing international beverage brands, including Philippine products such as Red Horse, San Miguel, Emperador, Engkanto, Uber Cream Liqueur, and Ginebra San Miguel. The meeting also explored opportunities to introduce and promote emerging Philippine products, including ube-based liqueurs and lambanog, to a broader American consumer market.
The Consulate welcomed GK Skaggs’ interest in expanding the reach of Philippine brands beyond the Filipino-American community and discussed potential collaboration in product promotion, marketing, and market development.
The Philippine Consulate General looks forward to continued engagement with GK Skaggs and other U.S. industry partners in support of Philippine exporters and the promotion of Philippine food and beverage products in the United States. END
