San Francisco, 31 July 2026 — The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, in partnership with the Social Security System (SSS) – Los Angeles Representative Office and the Philippine National Bank (PNB), successfully conducted a three-day outreach mission from 24 to 26 July 2026 at Kalayaan Hall, Philippine Center, providing a wide range of social security and financial services to the Filipino community.

During the outreach, the SSS assisted a total of 206 clients and rendered 720 services. PNB likewise provided essential financial services by facilitating the opening of SSS pension accounts, enabling pensioners to receive their benefits through international ATM cards that may be used at U.S. bank ATMs. As an accredited SSS collecting partner, PNB also accepted SSS contributions and assisted clients with other SSS-related banking transactions.

The outreach mission drew pensioners, active members, prospective registrants, and returning clients from across Northern California who had long awaited the opportunity to complete their SSS transactions locally. Many expressed appreciation for the efficient and well-organized delivery of services by the SSS, PNB, and the Philippine Consulate General. The consistently high turnout once again underscored the strong demand for accessible Philippine government frontline services in the region. The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco remains committed to bringing essential government services closer to overseas Filipinos and to working closely with partner agencies to ensure that Filipinos in its consular jurisdiction have greater access to vital public services.
