Invitation to Virtual Forum,
“Shaping Retirement in the Philippines”
San Francisco, California — The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO), in partnership with the National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA) and Atikha Overseas Workers and Communities Initiative, invites members of the Filipino diaspora to participate in the upcoming virtual forum, “Shaping Retirement in the Philippines.”
The forum will be held via Zoom on April 22, 2026 (Wednesday) and April 26, 2026 (Sunday) at 6:00 PM Pacific Time / 9:00 PM Eastern Time. The event is open to overseas Filipinos, community leaders, and stakeholders interested in retirement planning and reintegration in the Philippines.
This initiative is part of the ongoing work of the Technical Working Group (TWG) on Retirement and Reintegration, where the CFO serves as one of the lead convenors. The TWG brings together government agencies and partners to develop policies, programs, and sustainable models that support overseas Filipinos as they transition back to life in the Philippines.
A key focus of the forum is the proposed Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in San Pablo City, Laguna—a landmark project envisioned to provide long-term care, housing, and community support tailored to the needs of retirees and senior members of the Filipino diaspora.
The forum will serve as a platform for consultation, engagement, and co-creation, ensuring that the voices and aspirations of overseas Filipinos are reflected in the development of retirement solutions in the country.
Participants are encouraged to register in advance and take part in a short market research survey, which will help shape the design and implementation of the proposed retirement community. The survey takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete, and respondents will be entered into a raffle for prizes, including a roundtrip ticket to Manila, hotel accommodations, and travel packages. The raffle draw is scheduled for June 30, 2026.
