Philippine Consulate General Attends an Expert-Led Seminar on Violence Prevention and Threat Readiness

San Francisco, CA – Representatives of the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco participated in the Expert-Led Seminar on Violence Prevention and Threat Readiness hosted by the Allied Universal, on 31 March 2026 at the Applied Materials building in Santa Clara, California.

The seminar featured insights from Mr. Jeff Cugno, a former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Behavioral Analyst Unit Coordinator and founder and CEO of SOS Global Consulting, on understanding and preventing violence. The keynote highlighted the importance of examining workplace culture, recognizing behavioral indicators, and applying behavioral threat assessment and management as a best-practice approach to mitigating risks.

A fireside chat with Major General William J. Walker, former Commanding General of the District of Columbia National Guard and currently the Chief Security Officer of Allied Universal, and Lieutenant Josh Singleton, Commander of the Human Trafficking Task Force of Santa Clara County, moderated by Ms. Rachel Loyear, Vice President for Integrated Security Solutions at Allied Universal, tackled on readiness for high-impact threats, stressing the importance of planning, coordination, and clear communication. The seminar reinforced the Philippine Consulate’s commitment to strengthening its awareness and preparedness in managing security risks. END
