Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco Attends East Bay Innovation Awards 2026 Ceremony

OAKLAND, CALIFORNIA – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, represented by Deputy Consul General and Acting Head of Post Maria Paz Cortes and Consul Rowena Pangilinan-Daquipil, attended the 2026 East Bay Innovation Awards Ceremony hosted by the East Bay Economic Development Alliance.

The awards ceremony, held on 26 March 2026 at the Henry J. Kaiser Center for the Arts in Oakland, honored outstanding companies and organizations in Alameda and Contra Costa counties that have significantly contributed to the East Bay’s long-standing legacy of innovation.

A total of 41 awardees were recognized across a diverse range of sectors, including Arts and Culture, Built Environment, Catalyst, Community Impact, Education, Engineering & Design, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, and Technology. This year’s cohort represents the largest and most diverse group of honorees since the awards program was established in 2013.

The prestigious Legacy Award was conferred on the Bay Area Rapid Transit District in recognition of its enduring impact on regional mobility and economic development. The Consulate’s participation underscores its continued support for innovation-driven growth and its commitment to fostering partnerships between Philippine stakeholders and dynamic regional ecosystems such as the East Bay.
