INVITATION: From Field Work to Classroom: A Journey through Philippines Songs, Rhymes, Games and Dances
The Northern California Association of Kodály Educators (NCAKE) will hold a workshop titled “From Field Work to Classroom: A Journey through Philippines Songs, Rhymes, Games and Dances” with Dr. Miriam B. Factora, on 28 March 2026 (Saturday) at the Burlingame United Methodist Church.
During the workshop Dr. Factora will feature materials she has collected from various regions of the Philippines, highlighting her journey in developing rich educational and cultural resources. Participants will engage in interactive activities that include exploring key musical examples, listening to select field recordings, and performing sample songs, games, and dances.
