SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, represented by Consul Rowena Pangilinan-Daquipil, joined the Pasigueñans of Northern California in celebrating the organization’s 40th Annual Fiesta Anniversary on 7 December 2025 at the Joseph Fernekes Recreation Building, Orange Memorial Park, in South San Francisco, California.

Held in honor of Mama Mary, the milestone celebration gathered community leaders, church representatives, Filipino American families, and members of the Pasigueño community for an afternoon of fellowship, faith, and cultural pride.

In her remarks, Consul Pangilinan-Daquipil congratulated the Pasigueñans of Northern California for “four decades of unity, service, and unwavering devotion,” emphasizing that their annual fiesta is “not merely an event, but a living tradition that binds Pasigueños together across continents.”

She highlighted the significance of honoring Mama Mary during the Christmas season, noting that her example of faith and humility continues to serve as a source of comfort and inspiration for Filipinos abroad. “Gatherings like this remind us that the spirit of home can be felt wherever Filipinos come together,” she said.

During the program, she invited attendees to participate in the Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour 2026, scheduled for 12–21 July 2026. She described the signature cultural and tourism initiative as “a wonderful opportunity for our Filipino community and friends to reconnect with the Philippines through curated experiences, breathtaking destinations, and meaningful engagements.”

Concluding her message, Consul Pangilinan-Daquipil extended the Consulate’s appreciation to the Pasigueñans of Northern California for their continued partnership and for keeping Filipino culture and traditions alive in the United States. She conveyed warm Christmas greetings, wishing all attendees and their families blessings of gratitude, hope, and renewed commitment to community.

The event featured a celebration of the Holy Mass, cultural performance from Mahiwaga a Capella composed of students from UC Berkeley, and a festive dinner that highlighted both Pasigueño traditions and the shared Filipino spirit. END
