PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL IN SAN FRANCISCO JOINS COASTAL CLEANUP DAY 2025

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The officers and staff as well as family members of the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, led by Consul General Neil Frank Ferrer, together with its attached agencies—the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) Silicon Valley, the Philippine Department of Tourism (PDOT) San Francisco, and the Philippine Center Management Board (PCMB)—participated in the 2025 California Coastal Cleanup Day on 20 September 2025 at Ocean Beach, San Francisco.

The California Coastal Cleanup Day, participated in by volunteers from different community sectors, including environmental advocates, academe, and public servants, aims to raise awareness about the impact of human activity on marine ecosystems and to promote the protection of ocean health.

By volunteering in Coastal Cleanup Day 2025, the Consulate reaffirmed its commitment to the goals of Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANAMo)—to safeguard the Philippines’ rich maritime heritage and advance a sustainable, secure, and inclusive ocean-based economy. END

The organizers give instructions and reminders to the volunteers for the Ocean Cleanup Day.
