SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA, USA – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco conducted a welfare check and consular visit on 24 July 2025 to a Filipino national in detention at the Denver Contract Detention Facility in Aurora, Colorado. The visit was undertaken ahead of the Consulate’s Consular Outreach Mission in Colorado on 25–26 July 2025.
During the visit, the Filipino national conveyed his desire to return to the Philippines at the earliest possible time. He also conveyed his appreciation for the consular visit and welfare support, and other assistance provided by the Consulate.
The Consulate General remains steadfast in its commitment to assist and protect the rights of Filipino nationals within its jurisdiction, in accordance with international law and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, while fully respecting the laws, regulations, and legal processes of the host government.
