PHILIPPINE CONSULATE MEETS WITH GLOBAL STARTUP ACCELERATOR MIND THE BRIDGE TO EXPLORE INNOVATION PARTNERSHIPS

San Francisco, California — The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco met with officials of international startup accelerator Mind the Bridge (MTB) on 24 June 2025 to explore opportunities for collaboration in support of the Philippines’ growing innovation and startup ecosystem.

The meeting was held at MTB’s Innovation Center located at 450 Townsend Street, San Francisco, and was attended by Consul Rowena R. Pangilinan-Daquipil, PTIC-Silicon Valley Trade Commissioner Anne Marie Kristine Umali, and Economic Assistant Cristine Cia Clasara-Steylaerts. The MTB delegation was led by Giovanni M. Martinez, Lead Officer for Government Partnerships, joined by Andrea Sguazzi and Marta Clua Villas.

During the meeting, MTB provided an overview of its mission to foster a sustainable and globally connected entrepreneurial ecosystem. MTB works closely with startups, corporations, and governments to drive innovation, conduct market research, and promote international business partnerships. 

This meeting builds on previous engagements between the Consulate and MTB dating back to 2022, as part of sustained efforts to strengthen the Philippines’ innovation ties with the global tech community. END
