CONSUL GENERAL FERRER MEETS WITH OREGON SECRETARY OF STATE TOBIAS READ

Beaverton, Oregon – Philippine Consul General to San Francisco Neil Frank R. Ferrer met with Oregon Secretary of State Tobias Read on 15 May 2025 in Beaverton, Oregon.
Officials from the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco were in Oregon to conduct a two-day consular outreach mission in the City of Tigard from 16 to 17 May 2025. Consul General Ferrer took the opportunity to meet with Secretary Read to discuss matters of mutual interests, particularly with respect to possible areas of collaboration and to further understand local issues and developments that could impact the Filipino American community.
Secretary Read warmly welcomed the visit and offered assistance that his office may extend towards building partnerships to promote mutually beneficial relations between the Philippines and Oregon.
Consul General Ferrer was accompanied by Deputy Consul General Maria Paz Cortes, Philippine Honorary Consul Enrico Tadeo and his wife, Mrs. Vivian Tadeo, while Secretary Reed was joined by Deputy Secretary of State Michael Kaplan and Deputy Chief of Staff Ricardo Lujan Valerio. END
