The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco participated in the virtual panel discussion titled, The Global Fight Against Human Trafficking: International and Comparative Perspective on 6 March 2025. Executive Director Atty. Hannah Lizette Manalili of the Department of Justice-Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (DOJ-IACAT) represented the Philippines and highlighted the country’s national action plan against trafficking in persons, which includes a holistic approach that involves governmental and non-governmental agencies in providing assistance to vulnerable individuals and empowering victims of trafficking.

Organized by the San Francisco Collaborative Against Human Trafficking (SFCAHT.org) and the Homeland Security Investigation-San Francisco, the discussion centered on the various programs in combatting trafficking in persons presented by international experts, federal law enforcement agencies, and consular offices based in the United States.
The Philippine Consulate will continue to partner with relevant agencies and organizations in pursuing steps that protect the vulnerable population and share the Philippines’ efforts in anti-trafficking in persons.
