SAN FRANCISCO – Philippine Consul General Neil Frank R. Ferrer congratulated Mayor Cameron Sasai, the first Filipino-American Mayor of Pinole City, California, during the inauguration ceremony held on 18 January 2025 at the Pinole Valley Performing Arts Theater.

Mayor Sasai was sworn in by California Attorney General Rob Bonta, a fellow Fil-Am leader in California. Attorney General Bonta commended the works that Mayor Sasai has done in the City Council and expressed his optimism that he will make a difference in the City.

In his inaugural address, Mayor Sasai stated that he will prioritize the social and economic issues in the community, including, environmental protection, housing, and downtown revitalization.
