Daly City Unveils Replica U.S. Congressional Gold Medal for Filipino World War II Veterans

DALY CITY UNVEILS REPLICA U.S. CONGRESSIONAL GOLD MEDAL FOR FILIPINO WORLD WAR II VETERANS

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, represented by Vice Consul Adrian Baccay, joined the unveiling ceremony of a replica of the U.S. Congressional Gold Medal for Filipino World War II veterans, hosted by Fil-Am Daly City Mayor Juslyn Manalo at the War Memorial Community Center in Daly City, California on 16 December 2024.

In his remarks, Vice Consul Baccay noted that more than 600 veterans and their families have so far received the U.S. Congressional Gold Medal in California. He urged the audience to continue supporting organizations that promote veterans’ history and welfare such as the Bayanihan Equity Center, the Bataan Legacy Historical Society, and the Filipino Veterans Recognition and Education Project.
