GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS HOSTS FIRST FILIPINO HERITAGE NIGHT OF 2024-2025 NBA SEASON
Consul General Neil Ferrer joined other Filipino American Community leaders and attended the 19th Filipino Heritage Night of the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center, Thrive City in San Francisco on 8 December 2024, featuring the home team’s game against the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves.
Filipino cultural groups Kalikasan Dance Company and Bytes & Notes Chorale were among those that performed during the event, while Filipino American artist Kristian Kabuay held a baybayin script demo for those in attendance. Complimentary barong-themed t-shirts were given away to Filipino Heritage Night ticket holders.
This was the Warriors’ first Filipino Heritage Night for the 2024-2025 NBA season, the only team in the league that organizes two Filipino Heritage Nights during the regular season. The next Warriors Filipino Heritage Night in San Francisco will be held on 6 April 2025 against the Houston Rockets. (San Francisco PCG photos)
