BOZEMAN, MONTANA – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, led by Consul General Neil Ferrer, visited Montana for its 14th and final consular outreach of the year at Hilton Garden Inn in Bozeman on 4 November 2024.
Passport, dual citizenship, notarial, and civil registry services were offered during the Consulate’s first consular outreach in the “Big Sky Country” since 2021.
Consul General Ferrer said that the consular outreach in Montana “is in line with the Consulate’s mandate to deliver consular services to Filipinos in the Rocky Mountains states under the Consulate’s jurisdiction.”
“I am very pleased to return to Bozeman, Montana after three years to deliver consular services to fellow Filipinos in Montana, without having to fly more than 800 miles to San Francisco to get our services. I am also here to reconnect with the Filipino Community in Montana, as well as engage local officials here in Bozeman,” Consul General Ferrer also said.
The Consulate’s seven-member outreach team, which also included Vice Consul Adrian Baccay, provided a total of 124 consular services to Filipinos in Montana and neighboring states.
The Consulate partnered with Fil-Am entrepreneur Daisy Slowik and a group of Fil-Am Community volunteers led by Joy Billingsley for the conduct of the consular outreach.
On the sides of the consular outreach, Consul General Ferrer held meetings with Bozeman, Montana Mayor Terry Cunningham, and Montana State University officials. END
