PH CONSULATE HOSTS PH NURSES ASSOCIATION OF NORCAL AND SF PREMIER LIONS CLUB’S HEALTH EDUCATION AND FREE FLU VACCINATION DRIVE

Philippine Consul General to San Francisco Neil Frank Ferrer welcomed members of the Philippine Nurses Association of Northern California (PNANC), San Francisco Premier Lions Club, and volunteers from Gurnick Academy for the Health Education and Free Flu Vaccination Program held on 25 October 2024 at the Kalayaan Hall, Philippine Center.

A total of thirty-seven (37) individuals, including personnel and their dependents, and consular clients availed of the free flu vaccination.

In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, PNANC members, Ms. Gina Bringas-Cinco and Mr. Jeremy Yves Vergara, delivered a lecture to the Consulate’s dual citizenship applicants before their oath-taking ceremony, as well as other interested clients, which aims to raise awareness about breast cancer, its risk factors, and the advantages of regular screening and early detection (i.e. increasing the chances of successful treatment). Ms. Cinco, a cancer survivor, shared her experience in overcoming breast cancer. (San Francisco PCG photo)
