PH CONSULATE TOURS FUTURE SITE OF FIRST-EVER RIZAL MONUMENT IN COLORADO

On the sides of the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco’s consular outreach in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Vice Consul Adrian Baccay on 14 July 2024 visited George Fellows Park—the future site of a six-foot bronze statue of Dr. Jose Rizal by Colorado-based Filipino American sculptor Atty. Elaine Antonio Bordeaux.

Vice Consul Baccay was joined during the ocular visit by Atty. Bordeaux—who just wrapped up her week-long art exhibit at the Philippine Center in San Francisco—and Randy Bordeaux, Philippine Honorary Consul in Denver Donna LaVigne, Atty. Jay LaVigne, and Filipino Community leader Grace Morris. The Colorado Springs Public Arts Commission approved the location of the Rizal monument in August 2023.
