ECHO SEMINAR ON GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT HELD FOR PH CONSULATE PERSONNEL
The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco conducted an echo seminar on Gender and Development (GAD) for its personnel, at the Sentro Rizal of the Philippine Center in San Francisco on 27 June 2024.
Vice Consul and GAD Focal Point Officer Adrian Baccay gave an overview of GAD concepts, and discussed gender-fair language. The seminar aims to raise awareness among Consulate personnel on the GAD policies and programs of its home agency, the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs, and ensure that gender-responsive mechanisms are adopted in the Consulate’s correspondence and frontline services.
