PH Consulate in San Francisco Returns to Boise, Idaho for Consular Outreach, Delivers 271 Services

PH CONSULATE IN SAN FRANCISCO RETURNS TO BOISE, IDAHO FOR CONSULAR OUTREACH, DELIVERS 271 SERVICES

BOISE, IDAHO, USA – The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco organized a consular outreach in Boise, Idaho on 20 May 2024 at the Hampton Inn & Suites Boise/Spectrum.

Led by Consul General Neil Ferrer, the consular outreach in Idaho afforded Filipinos and Filipino Americans passport, dual citizenship, and overseas voting registration services without having to travel to San Francisco.  Applicants from throughout Idaho and other states, including Colorado, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, availed of services during the outreach.

A total of 271 services were provided, including 79 passport applications, 92 dual citizenship petitions, and 83 overseas voting registrations.

During the outreach, a team from the Wage and Hour Division of the U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) provided information on employment-related laws and policies during the dual citizenship oathtaking ceremonies.  The U.S. DOL also set-up a table where outreach applicants inquired about specific concerns.

The outreach was held with the support of the Filipino-American Association of Idaho.

The consulate outreach in Boise is the fifth one spearheaded by the Consulate in 2024.  Filipinos residing under the Consulate’s jurisdiction may visit pcgsanfrancisco.org/consular-outreach-missions/ for details on succeeding outreach missions.  END
