In Induction of New Officers, Consul General Ferrer Urges Fil-Am Community Club of Monterey Peninsula to Foster Unity

IN INDUCTION OF NEW OFFICERS, CONSUL GENERAL FERRER URGES FIL-AM COMMUNITY CLUB OF MONTEREY PENINSULA TO FOSTER UNITY

As part of the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco’s increased outreach efforts in Monterey County, Consul General Neil Ferrer led the induction of the new officers of the Filipino American Community Club of Monterey Peninsula at their community center in Marina, California on 3 February 2024. He was accompanied by Madame Miriam Ferrer and Vice Consul Adrian Baccay.

In his remarks, Consul General Ferrer recognized the club’s contributions to American society since its humble beginnings in 1957, and encouraged its President Julie Mislang and the other new officers to foster unity and cooperation within the Filipino American Community in Monterey County. He also took the opportunity to apprise the club of the latest updates from the Consulate, including its consular services and economic diplomacy work as well as the upcoming 2024 Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour.
