PHILIPPINES BASEBALL GROUP CALLS ON CONSUL GENERAL FERRER TO DISCUSS GRASSROOTS DEV’T OF FILIPINO BASEBALL PLAYERS
Consul General Neil Ferrer welcomed the officers of the Philippines Baseball Group (PBG), a Southern California-based non-profit organization, at the Philippine Center in San Francisco on 15 December 2023. Among those who called on the Consul General were PBG President Bill Picketts, PBG Northern California Regional Director Matt Lopez, Filipino Community leader Roberto de Lara, and Philippine News Today publisher Francis Espiritu.
The PBG aims “to promote baseball and Filipino players on a global scale… and address the decline in baseball participation at the collegiate level in the Philippines by providing comprehensive support and opportunities for talented Filipino American players in the U.S.” (San Francisco PCG photos)
