The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, represented by Deputy Consul General Raquel Solano and Consul Rowena Pangilinan-Daquipil, attended the National API Elected Officials Summit at Westin St. Francis in San Francisco on 18 November 2023, which was attended by about 500 current API elected officials.

The event, which was organized by API Coalition and Civic Leadership USA, in conjunction with APEC, gathered the Asian American community in order to confront and overcome challenges such as Anti-Asian hate, and to fortify the API community by fostering networking, supporting emerging leaders, nurturing youth through mentorship, internships, and education, and standing united to address future issues that affect them.
