PH CONSULATE JOINS PALO ALTO’S NEIGHBORS ABROAD IN CELEBRATING ITS 60TH ANNIVERSARY

The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, represented by Vice Consul Adrian Baccay, joined the 60th anniversary celebration of Neighbors Abroad on 27 October 2023 at Lucie Stern Community Center in Palo Alto, California. Vice Consul Adrian Baccay conveyed Consul General Neil Ferrer’s felicitations to Neighbors Abroad President Sarah Burgess, and joined the Palo Alto-Palo, Leyte Sister City Committee during the event.

Neighbors Abroad is the umbrella organization of Palo Alto’s sister and sibling city committees. It was established in 1963 upon the establishment of relations with Palo, Leyte, Palo Alto’s first sister city. Palo is the site of the 1944 landing of Field Marshal Douglas MacArthur in the campaign to liberate the Philippines during World War II. (San Francisco PCG photos)
