PH CONSULATE ATTENDS FILIPINO CULTURE CLUB’S INAUGURAL BAYANIHAN BALL
The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco joined the first Bayanihan Ball of the Filipino Culture Club Bay Area, held at The Battery in San Francisco on 6 October 2023.
The Filipino Culture Club conferred the Filipino Excellence Award to Consul General Neil Ferrer, for his “exceptional contributions and unwavering dedication to uplifting the community through remarkable leadership and service.” In his remarks on behalf of the Consul General, Vice Consul Adrian Baccay also lauded Filipino Culture Club’s Anthony Schandler and Shaina Manlangit for their efforts in connecting second and third generations of Filipino Americans with their homeland through initiatives such as a curated tour of the Philippines for young Fil-Ams in 2024.
More than 100 young Filipino Americans from different industries donned their best Filipiniana for the Bayanihan Ball, which coincided with the celebration of Filipino American History Month across the United States. (San Francisco PCG photo)
