QUEZON CITY OFFICIALS PAY COURTESY CALL AT THE PH CONSULATE IN SAN FRANCISCO
Following the renewal of sister city ties with Daly City, California, officials from Quezon City, Philippines called at the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco on 14 July 2023. Deputy Consul General and Acting Head of Post Raquel R. Solano, Consul Jed Llona, Consul Rowena Pangilinan-Daquipil and Vice Consul Adrian Baccay received the delegation at the Sentro Rizal of the Philippine Center.
The Consulate welcomed City Administrator Michael Victor Alimurung, City Councilor Ma. Aurora Suntay, City Planning and Development Department Planning Officer Andrew Anthony Arevalo, and Chief of Staff Atty. Juan Miguel Suntay. Also joining the call was Fil-Am Daly City Recreation Commissioner Cheryll Catuar.
During the call, Consulate and Quezon City officials discussed ways to sustain Quezon City’s sister city cooperation with Daly City, and promote trade and business partnerships in Silicon Valley.
Quezon City and Daly City renewed their 29-year-old sister city relations at a signing ceremony in Daly City Hall on 11 July 2023, during which the representatives of the two cities committed to expand cooperation in the fields of environment, human resources and community development, science and technology, education and sports, tourism development, and trade.
