City of Milpitas Congratulates Philippine Consulate on 125th Anniversary of PH Independence

CITY OF MILPITAS CONGRATULATES PHILIPPINE CONSULATE ON 125TH ANNIVERSARY OF PH INDEPENDENCE

Milpitas, California has extended its congratulations to the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco on the occasion of Independence Day, the 125th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence.

Milpitas Mayor Carmen Montano and Fil-Am Vice Mayor Evelyn Chua presented a certificate signed by the top two officials to Philippine Consul General Neil Ferrer, during the Consulate’s Independence Day reception at the Philippine Center in San Francisco on 15 June 2023. The said certificate commends the Consulate “for its continued support to all ‘kababayans’ living and working in the Bay Area and worldwide… and the assistance [provided] to the community.” Also present during the presentation of certificate was Fil-Am Councilmember Garry Barbadillo.

In response, Consul General Ferrer thanked the city officials of Milpitas for their continued recognition of the contributions of the city’s vibrant Filipino American Community.
