CONGEN FERRER ADMINISTERS OATH TO IBP-NORCAL OFFICERS

Consul General Neil Frank R. Ferrer administered recently the oath of office to the new set of officers of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines- Northern California (IBP-NorCal) chapter headed by Atty. Alberto Montefalcon, Jr.. 

In a simple inaugural ceremony held at the Sentro Rizal-San Francisco of the Philippine Center, the following lawyers took their oath as officers of the said professional law organization: Alberto Montefalcon, Jr.; Jeanne Kouznetsova; Evelyn Alfonso; Clarence Decano; Jen Buslig; Erwin Nunez; Cesar Fumar; and Dennis Mesina. Other IBP-NorCal officers who joined the oath-taking via Zoom were Marianne Barredo-Divina and Melvyn Gonzales.

During the ceremony, outgoing IBP-NorCal president Atty. Flomy Diza highlighted the accomplishments of the organization during his term as president.  Atty. Montefalcon also delivered his inaugural speech emphasizing the continued commitment of IBP to help in the promotion and protection of the rights of the Fil-Am community in its area of coverage.
In his remarks during the ceremony, Consul General Ferrer noted the Consulate’s partnership with IBP-NorCal, which has led to such initiatives and projects as the Talakayan, online discussion forums, and legal clinics, adding that these have proven useful and relevant to the needs of the Filipino-American communities in the Bay Area. He called on the outgoing officers to continue to be a guiding presence to the organization and for the new ones to build on the accomplishments of their predecessors and remain steadfast to their commitment to the ideals, values and purposes for which IBP-NorCal was established. –END
